I was born and raised in San Diego, where I spent the first 30 years of my life, and now live in the Pacific Northwest in Portland.

I’ve been a hobby artist since I could walk and am self-taught. I’ve always been fascinated by East Asian traditional art that I would see, for example, in Chinese restaurants or a deck of playing cards with Ukiyo-E art.

My kickstart into exploring my own style of ink painting was the work of Jon J. Muth and specifically The Stonecutter.
